New Laminate Cone & Soft Dome Tweeter:
Our GTS speakers feature a newly designed cone reinforced with alpha-cellulose fibers. This construction offers lightweight moving mass, rigidity, and incredible strength advantages over other comparably priced speakers. The New GTS series speaker delivers excellent musical detail, accuracy, and resistance to flexing during demanding bass. Now with GTS in your car you can have tight detailed music with improved punch and definition. These GTS-exclusive soft-dome tweeters are made of a soft mylar laminate and are damped with by a specially anti-resonant organic material. The tweeter damping-chamber is located behind the soft dome to decrease acoustical standing waves and in-turn broadening the tweeter's frequency response. This GTS dome tweeter produces exceptionally smooth, detailed high-frequency sound.
GTS Component Speakers With High-Quality Tweeter & Crossover:
Crunch USA's new 5-1/4" & 6-1/2" GTS component speakers include an outboard 12dB/Octave High Pass and Mid/Low-Pass passive crossover that improves the transition from the midrange to hi- frequencies, providing a smoother mid-range to tweeter response. The GTS passive crossovers utilize professional grade capacitors and inductive coils. All GTS passive crossover components are encased for protection. The GTS component speakers include a pair of 19mm surface-mount soft dome tweeters, a highly flexible multi-mount version of the same rear damped soft tweeter used in the GTS coaxial speakers. Now you can mix and match GTS coaxials and component GTS speakers in the same car audio system without any tonal harshness or degradation of acoustical timbre.
